Nikita is now our second Atlanta girl. When I shot her she was living in South Florida, but I called her this week and discovered she is now residing in Atlanta.

Nikita is a little different from what I would say is typical. She has lived in Detroit (and I think she mentioned New York), so she has a little edge to her, yet she is easy going and friendly. I guess that mixture of the fast paced big city and laid back Florida lifestyles helped shape her personality. So I wonder how she will handle Atlanta or better yet, how will Atlanta handle her.

Before we did the shoot I took her to the new shopping and entertainment facility at Hollywood & Highland (in Hollywood,) which consists of a shopping mall, the new Kodak theatre, restaurants and other entertainment venues. We had lunch and did a little shopping.

Between her height, her hair color and what she was wearing, she was getting some looks there. It can be interesting to study people's reactions to transsexuals in a public places. Some have no idea what they are looking at, other than and exotic looking woman. Others figure it out while others wonder, but aren't sure.

I never got around to telling Nikita this, but when she was in a cosmetics store I overheard a mother explaining, to her young teenage daughter what a transsexual is. I didn't hear the whole conversation. But, from what I heard the explanation was basically a mother teaching her child a lesson about life. I didn't hear any derogatory remarks, which was nice. It really bugs me when I hear people talk about transsexuals in a negative way, so I credit this lady for the way she explained the situation to her daughter.

Anyway, I had fun hanging out with and working with Nikita. I was going to do a video shoot with her too, but I didn't have enough notice before her arrival and couldn't find an available partner for her. She found one, but he chickened out at the last moment. But, we'll probably get that done eventually. I hope so, because she's fun girl, and I'd bet she'd be a good performer.
