The characters, both the victims and the interrogators, are developed into real people and the situations really come alive as a result.

About a week ago I learned about the website I listed in the website field here at the GIMP board. I think it was an image from the site posted as this board's daily picture that drew my attention to the website.

After spending good week browsing their free pages, I decided to buy a membership. I gotta say that you can't tell much from their free pages, so if you really want to see what their content is like, you have no choice but to spend the money for a membership.

Now that I did, I have found myself regretting the decision. Their content is extremely tame. If I was to give them a letter grade rating, it would be no higher than a D. I spent a descent amount of time browsing and even read a few of their comics.

Most books end abruptly with little to no worthwhile stuff happening. There is barely any nudity present and the reader is left feeling empty. Don't even bother wasting your time with this website. Don't spend any money over there.

I have... fairly libertine tastes as far as violence goes. I tend to figure that, whatever pain the performer has inflicted upon them during a scene, they usually had some idea what the scene would involve and are going to be compensated for their performance. Things like whip marks and bruising don't bother me.

But if I'm honest with myself, I'm occasionally a little disturbed by the degree to which I'm *not* disturbed- the extent to which I'm willing to say "Five minutes on Google would have told you what this web site's videos were like, what did you *think* was going to happen?"

I'm capable of having a very good time when the performer is clearly *not* having a good time, and that sometimes bothers me.

Conversely, there are certain kinds of violence that I don't even want to see faked. I prefer my "victims" pretty and alive (and in one piece), and while death is sometimes a perfectly natural conclusion to a story, it isn't really something that "does it" for me.

True enough. And I gave an even higher grade to JBD-077.

I would say my thinking has evolved since then. To a large extent, that's due to some of the discussions on this board.

To be completely candid, I should also admit that -- in the early days -- I wasn't always aware of the techniques that were being used to fake some scenes (and, conversely, that other scenes weren't fake at all) until the curtain was pulled back during discussions on this site. For example, I knew the whippings in Rick's movies couldn't be real, but it was only after I joined this forum that I discovered how he pulls off the illusion.

@ Ralphus - Nope, I don't even dig today's daily pic. I'm not a fan of actual "real" violence. Certainly not to the level of these recent pics.

When it comes to fantasy violence, all fucking bets are off, and practically anything goes with me, but these images from the last few days where the women have raised wounds that are literally turning purple with real blood leaking through torn flesh... Not hot in the least to me.

Now I do have some Japanese bondage videos that get pretty extreme, but I bought them for other parts of the films, and skip past the parts that turn me off.

The "Fantasy" of violence is hot as fuck to me. When done by the likes of talented people like JohnM over at PKF on film, or talented artists like Arcas or Quoom through other mediums, it's absolutely intoxicating to me, as they can go as far as their imagination and talent allows them to, and these are some VERY talented and imaginative people.

Aside from the preview option available on the site? Not really, I'm afraid. It's my fault I didn't update for a while and I end up with about 6GB. Normally, checking the last (chronologically) should locate the video of interest. The one you asked is Constance Money in Barbara Broadcast (1977).

Greetings All,

I'm just finishing a refurb of The Secret Abductions of Devon Nichols. It's going to be renamed The Secret Adventures of Devon Nichols so it won't get banned by those pesky bankers that love their arbitrary rules.

If you're not familiar with this title, it was a collection of scenes shot by Travis Lee with Devon Nichols. Many bits and pieces of scenes were used in various ZFX movies over the years. Some of it is pretty intense. It has a sort of a Videodrome appearance, if you are familiar with that movie. I've had quite a few requests to put this out and I mentioned years on back it was on my to do list. So check that one off.

This is a little more complete version and a lot better put together that my first go at releasing it back inthe 90's. There is no crazy formatting on it like on the VHS release, its in its original 4X3 full screen. I tried to get a better grip on what Travis was going for and figure out how the shots went together.

It's not Gone with the Wind by any means but it has a raw underground appeal. Devon's squeals and yelps are really erection stiffening and Travis doms her very well. There is a lot of AOH content which I know will make at least one guy happy lol.

It's vintage stuff, circa 1993 so expect video quality commensurate with that. That said, it's actually pretty good. It came straight off the original master so it's as good as it can be.

It should be out for download in mid July I think, I'll let you know when it gets close.

Oh, I see. Well, I used an automated screen capture software and then the image host assigned names/numbers. To me they have no meaning, unless I take them one by one and cross-check by opening the videos one by one.

Bill, the story - in a nutshell - is that the site was in need of some investments - time and money (tech upgrade) - and the site's creator/admin (Hieronymous) had just grown too tired of the responsibility of AoD to pursue the needed fixes. Maybe a shorter version of the story is that he was just burnt out after 10 years of doing this in what should have been his professional "retirement".

So the site is closed. Sort of. But it'll probably stick around for some time in read-only form. A small part of the site remains open so the community's members can bid it farewell. You can find the on-going AoD funeral thread here: [artofdarkness.nfshost.com].

I knew you'd be asking about that video, Bill. I used to have it saved on my favorites but now I look and I don't find it. It's likely that YouTube deleted it...so what else is new? They don't provide individual IPs but they have a wealth of aggregated tools to show how many watched, how many were interested enough to download. I don't know what criteria you're using for calling a clip "milder" as opposed to more extreme, but it stands to reason that if a clip has stronger content, it's going to be more popular. Very reluctantly I enroll in "A".

I was really tempted into "B", when I remember all the frustration coming from those flicks that show much promise and then nothing happened. The infamous "teasers".

However, if determined to base the poll on "wounds (severity of)/ no wounds" a little more of an effort to tell things apart is on order.

I agree with the issue of aesthetics. This is the difference between an excellent depiction (photo or film) of a fantasy GIMP situation and a cheesy one that overstrains your imagination and makes you want to either laugh or cry at a presentation that is patently absurd and badly done. On the other hand, fantasies come in many colors and shapes, sometimes mild at other times not so mild. It all depends on the rendering and one’s mood or how much into the dark side one is willing to go.

I immediately shunned from watching that one. For both the extreme brutality of the act as well as for its absolute gratuity. That's a proper example of the "innocent victim" type of "plot"; I usually I consider that my limit. Hi All! While Margot and company are in the jungles of South America, I thought I would give an update about the current status of Justine.

I've just sunk my teeth into the color correction. I had planned to start on it three weeks ago, but I had Jac make a few changes to the editing of the film, so that took more time. You can blame the delays on my nit-picking. Haha. I really do think the small changes make a big difference in the film. It's looking amazing!

Justine has more torture than any of our films. And it's all in English. It's simultaneously beautiful, gritty, raw, classy, and sexy. It's my favorite of all of the films we've made thus far in terms of torture. I LOVE IT. I'm always apprehensive when I see the first cut of the entire film. I can say without a doubt that this one was totally worth the real terror, cold weather, and pain of shooting it.

I'm going to get back to the color correction now. I'll keep posting updates about how it's going!

Awww... is the daily Arcas parade over? I was rather enjoying seeing these pieces I hadn't looked at in years! Anyway... so the current poll question? Well... the report from "Arcas Country" (T.M., you wacky dude!) is probably half what you expect and half what ya don't.

Yeah, I do like exploring "creative sadism" in my images, in the form of tortures and death traps. And getting creative with those is part of the challenge that I enjoy. I consider it a success when someone says, "Great work, but I can't look at it without cringing". To me that's the beauty of art/3D art: being able cross the threshold of what anybody would reasonably stop at in real life. C'mon, if you don't take it that far, then why not just snap some DiD photos?

OK. Sure, my stuff's not all turned up to 11. I enjoy just evoking perilous tension, too. But squicking folks out is where I can most easily measure success or failure. But even I have my limits. Case in point: Zerns. He gets pretty creative for the first 85% of most of his tales, leaving me with inspired admiration for his brilliantly twisted mind. But usually in the last 15% he just loses it. Limbs and large swathes of skin start flying. Eyeballs and gut start popping to and fro. And for me, it just ceases to become erotic or even perilous. It just turns into a meat grinder.

So far, this poll has been the complete opposite of the one we had 5 years ago. Then the results were close, but right now 82% of us identify themselves as GIMP heavyweights. Still awfully early though. I'm a big fan of foreplay, just watching her struggle in the ropes, but I have to admit I like the "orgasm moment" that a snuff ending provides. I don't think I'm making any shocking revelation that I'm in the A group, for reasons I've stated time and again on this site.

I really don't have many limits when it comes to fantasy. If I think it's hot, and no one is getting hurt in real life, then do as you please. That doesn't mean I always need to see the extreme, just that I don't feel the least bit inhibited about going there.

It still has to be hot though. Arcas brings up the perfect example with Zerns.

I too feel that Zerns is a FABULOUS artist, and I think he's made some WILDLY imaginative and SMOKING hot comics. However, he can take it to levels that while I'm not offended, because it's just fantasy, I'm also just not that turned on anymore.

@ Gog - I did go on a Crime House buying spree about two weeks ago. I've got eight of their films at this point.

The positives are that the girls are fucking runway model hot, as anyone with eyes can attest to by looking at their previews.

Also, they have good special effects and pretty good production values as well.

The negatives are that they keep their models clothed in WAY too many of their movies, and even in the ones where they get them naked, sometimes wait till the end to do it. The movies I bought were once that I could tell got them naked early.

Also, as you noted, it is kind of tongue in cheek they way things go down. Some are better than others, but it's nowhere near the levels of brutality that a PKF or PT film will get to, but the women are so FUCKING GORGEOUS that I can look past that for the good parts of the films I've purchased so far.
