Aston Martin confirms, its sexy ad is a fake

Sex sells. Period.

Probably that's why an Aston Martin ad has gone viral on social networking sites Twitter and Facebook as well as other forums. The only hitch is that it's not an officially released ad from Aston Martin, it's a fake. But it's doing far better than the ad the car firm released.

The fake Aston Martin ad that has gone viral on Twitter and Facebook.

The ad shows a semi-naked woman with one knee raised up to the kitchen counter seemingly cooking something.

Writing about it, Carhoots said, that it was probably "a simple photoshop made by some spotty teenager in his bedroom".

And understandably enough, Aston-Martin.com has confirmed that the ad was a fake and this was spotted due to a series of errors, foremost among them being the fact that it says, "pre owned" instead of "pre-owned".

Also, Carhoots found out that the image used in the fake advert was that of Dutch Playmate Rosanne Jongenelen from a Playboy Germany issue.

Interestingly, the slogan - "You know you're not the first, but do you really care?" - used in the ad is also not an original one either. It was used by BMW in 2008 to advertise their premium selection. And yes, their ad was real!

Here are some reactions to the ad on Twitter:
