Harribel: "Let me show you a trick or two…"

An old gift artwork to my friend from 2019.
I remember when I tried to draw Harribel, she was surprisingly really hard to draw. I knew from the beginning she would be a tough one to draw, because…her face? Yes! Her face was very hard for me to draw, because of its structure, the way her nose divines her hair, and her eyes. Her eyes are quite narrowed, so it's extremely easy to make her look A) angry/pissed off or just B) evil. I didn't want such a look for her, so I went for a mischievous/playful one. I hope I did succeed in that since I'm not used to drawing so narrowed-eyed people… 😅What do you think? Did I succeed in drawing her like that?
That year, I also wanted to finally try how to color and shade in a more anime-ish manner. I like how simple some animes' art looks, but how to do so? When I tried flat coloring, I was obviously missing something, since the ending result wasn't like for example in Bleach Brave Souls' artwork (in those story modes and such.) Then I realized what I was missing: three-part coloring. It's basically the core of coloring; base color, highlights, and shadows. But since some people think that method is a tad too simple, well, I'd forgotten it. 😅 But once I remembered and realized it works in anime-like coloring too, well…I was 'let's try this!' So, I played around with that method and also threw some different layer effects and boom! This is the ending result. Personally, I still like how this turned out, even though the coloring might not really be spot-on when comes to anime-wise, but eh. What do you think about the ending result?

SLUDGE LIFEサントラあそび
お正月に聞いてたSLUDGE LIFEのサントラタイトルが面白かったので、リハビリも兼ねて私家翻訳あそび。
自分にしては意訳・パロディ多め。韻踏みは擬態語に置き換えて、口にしてたのしい感じを出してみたつもり。音楽に語らせる作品でもあるので、翻訳というより自分なりのSLUDGE LIFEの解釈とファンレターみたいなイメージなのかもしれない。
お気に入りは、24.ゴーストのCEO機パクり作戦（GHOST WHIP THE CEO SHIP）と30.シギーな生活（Ciggy Lives）かな。怠惰でご機嫌な感じが好きなので。
