As one of the world’s most famous supermodels, Kate Moss is no stranger to turning heads.

But passers-by in London on Monday must have thought they were seeing double as the star filmed a TV commercial.

The 39-year-old employed a body double while filming scenes outdoors in the centre of the capital.

Like Mossy the 20-something body double appeared to be wearing a fur coat and very little else for the commercial.

The pair both looked striking in the cream coat paired with a beige top and matching thigh-high boots, and what looked like no underwear underneath.

They made the already risqué ensemble even more daring by ditching their bras on a chilly morning.

With her blonde hair carefully curled and draped onto her shoulders, Kate looked stunning as she was spotted provocatively climbing out of a black Rolls Royce on the set of the advert.

But she was in danger of being upstaged by the younger model, who looked noticeably slimmer than Kate with a much flatter stomach and slender thighs.

And the usually ultra-confident super model looked uncharacteristically “shy” according to onlookers, as the body double strutted down the street in her place on location near London’s Gloucester Road.

An onlooker who saw the filming said the body double “outshone” Kate on set, adding: “Kate didn’t look her usual fabulous self - and the body double seemed to be doing most of the scenes.

“Her face looked fantastic but was obviously heavily made-up, but she didn’t quite have the statuesque model figure people might think.

“I was expecting her to be really, really confident - but instead she looked really quite shy.

“It probably had something to do with the skimpy outfit she had on - she spent most of her time trying to make sure she was covered up with her coat.

“I can’t say I blame her - it was very revealing.”

The appearance of a body double has raised questions about just how often Kate’s body has been replaced in recent campaigns.

She recently appeared nude in adverts for jewellery designer David Yurman and fake tan brand St Tropez.

But the model, married to The Kills rocker Jamie Hince, is scheduled to bare all herself again in a nude shoot for Playboy to coincide with her 40th birthday.
