Game of strangers! Natalie Dormer gets intimate with four men (and a woman) during a wild night in Hozier's music video Someone New

She's best known for playing Margaery Tyrell in hit HBO series Game Of Thrones.

But Natalie Dormer's nocturnal antics in Hozier's latest music video Someone New could give her promiscuous fantasy character a run for her gold coins.

In the clip, which takes place during one night in a city with vibrant nightlife, the 33-year-old makes out with four men and a woman.

The intimate sessions however are simply in her character's imagination as she covets the romantic partners of people she sees on the street.

The video begins with her entering a crowded nightclub as Hozier, who rocketed to fame in the US with his song Take Me To Church, is performing onstage.

She sees a dark haired woman meet up with a man with dreadlocks. Soon Dormer imagines herself pressing up against the young man in a bathroom stall as they lock lips.

The video then follows her as she walks through the night streets as her fantasy life is populated by people she sees.

A man sitting next to her on the subway is soon getting to grips with her before we see that it's just another dreamy escapade.

Two women boisterously walk arm-in-arm with a bottle of alcohol and Dormer replaces one of the ladies in her mind.

But the raciest moment comes near the end when she imagines taking a man she sees on the street home with her, where they both strip off and go to bed.

Speaking about why she took on the role in the video, Dormer said: 'I find Hozier's music always deals in the most visceral way with the contradictions that make us human.'

'It was a joy to be a part of the Someone New video, which for me explores the struggle in all our heads between the Real and Imaginary,' she continued, 'it plays with ideas of how loneliness and isolation are two different things and the weight or lightness we can attach to loving another person.'

While Hozier said of the experience: 'I was thrilled to be able to work with Natalie Dormer on this project. She's an actress of incredible talent and intelligence, and a joy to work with.'

The song Someone New comes out on May 11.
